I have been coming to Alliance Performance for 6 months now and have no regrets about my decision to join. Huge shoutout to Coach Justin whose classes are full of fist bumps, smiles and 3 minute planks. The classes are challenging and will make you break a sweat. The other Coaches, Staff and Clients are all super friendly and welcoming. I enjoy coming here.

Nearly half a dozen members of my family—from ages 5 to 35—train at Alliance, and it has been an incredible experience for all of us. My teenage boys work with Joe, who is exceptionally knowledgeable in speed training and takes the time to design programs tailored to their individual needs and growth.

The HYROX classes are consistently high-energy, challenging, and incredibly rewarding—truly a standout workout every time. What makes Alliance even more special is that it genuinely offers something for everyone. It’s a one-stop shop for fitness, training, and development for the entire family, all in a supportive and motivating environment.

I just wanted to reach out and share how great my training session was today at Alliance Performance in Fair Lawn. The workout was intense, well-structured, and exactly what I needed to keep improving.

Mike did an amazing job coaching—his energy, knowledge, and attention to detail really stood out. You can tell he truly cares about helping athletes get better, and his experience as the head coach of Bergen Catholic’s track team definitely shows. He pushed me while still making sure everything was done with proper form and purpose.

Overall, it was a really positive experience, and I’m looking forward to continuing to train and improve here.

Been at alliance for about four months now and I cannot recommend it more. From the upper body & sprint classes to their metabolic circuits. This gym has everything and more I needed to get ready for my hyrox races. I particularly recommend Coach Crystal! Her knowledge of the craft is very evident in how she speaks and helps all individuals during class!

Amazing gym with an amazing environment and strong community. Special shoutout to Coach Crystal for all her help in the small group sessions, especially the recent lower body conditioning class. Her energy and motivation always push you to work harder and be better. She pushes you while still making sure you feel encouraged and confident. She really cares and it shows!

Sauna FAQs

Most people do well with sauna sessions around 10–20 minutes, depending on your experience and how hot it is. If you’re new, it’s better to start shorter and build up over time. Pay attention to how you feel, step out if needed, and make sure you’re hydrated before and after.

Using the sauna 2–4 times per week is a good starting point for most people. If you train more often, you may choose to use it more regularly as part of your recovery routine.

Most people use the sauna after a workout to help relax muscles and support recovery. Using it before can feel good, but it may leave you a little fatigued going into your session.

You do burn some calories in the sauna since your heart rate goes up and your body is working to cool itself down. That said, it’s not a replacement for exercise. Sauna use is better thought of as a recovery tool that supports your routine, not a primary way to lose weight.
